[INFO-CFP] CANA 2008 — Preliminary Call for Papers

PRELIMINARY CALL FOR PAPERS

Computer Aspects of Numerical Algorithms (CANA’08)
http://www.cana.imcsit.org
Wisla, Poland, October 20-22, 2008

Organized within the framework of the International Multiconference on
Computer Science and Information Systems and co-located with the XXIV
Autumn Meeting of the Polish Information Processing Society.

Numerical algorithms are widely used by scientists engaged in various
areas. There is a special need of highly efficient and easy-to-use
scalable tools for solving large scale problems. The workshop is devoted
to numerical algorithms with the particular attention to the latest
scientific trends in this area and to problems related to implementation
of libraries of efficient numerical algorithms. The goal of the workshop
is meeting of researchers from various institutes and exchanging of
their experience, and integrations of scientific centers.

TOPICS:

* Parallel, distributed and grid numerical algorithms
* Data structures for numerical algorithms
* Libraries for numerical computations
* Numerical algorithms testing and benchmarking
* Analysis of rounding errors of numerical algorithms
* Optimalization of numerical algorithms
* Languages, tools and environments for programming numerical
algorithms
* Paradigms of programming numerical algorithms
* Contemporary computer architectures
* Applications of numerical algorithms in science and technology

Papers Submission

* Authors should submit draft papers (as Postscript, PDF of MSWord
file).
* The total length of a paper should not exceed 10 pages (LNCS style).
LNCS style templates are available at the workshop site.
* Papers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific
merit and relevance to the workshop.
* Accepted and presented papers will be included in the Conference
Proceedings and published on a CD (ISSN 1896-7094).
* Authors of selected papers accepted and presented during CANA’08
Workshops will be invited to submit extended versions of their
contributions to a Special Issue of a journal to be announced later.
