[UNIX-WIZ] Where would sendmail logs be?

Greetings oh Wizness!

We have a windows application that sends mail to a Solaris based
sendmail relay that to distribute to the world (or at least that
portion of it that should get purchase confirmations). Some of the
mail is apparently getting lost. I see lists of mail in and mail out
in /var/log/syslog. I see records about mail to/from the two users
that we know are having problems. Mostly I don’t see them.

Where else would I look for errors, successes, anything that might
tell me that mail is being forwarded or why not? Any other suggestions
for troubleshooting?

I read the sendmail man page and looked in the files that it
references. I am trying to read the O’Reilly sendmail book, but it is
rather overwhelming to search in a hurry….

Thanks!

- Kai
