(IEI), The appointee will be head of the department formerly called Forma
l
Concepts of
the Institute of Formal Methods in Computer Science (FMI). The school see
ks
a scholar
of outstanding international scientific reputation with emphasis on sever
al
areas of the
theory of algorithms. Examples are:
? Efficient Algorithms
? Parallel and Distributed Algorithms
? Algorithmic Geometry
? Algorithmic Graph Theory
? Complex Systems and Internet Algorithms
? Algorithmic Number Theory and Cryptographic Methods
The faculty is playing an important role in the Cluster of Excellence
?Simulation
Technology? and in the Collaborative Research Center 627. Scientific
research close to
these projects is welcome. The successful candidate is expected to
contribute a broad
range of teaching in Theoretical Computer Science in the degree programs
of
Computer
Science and in other curricula.
