[Concurrency] Vacant PhD positions in Concurrency Theory at ITU

The IT University of Copenhagen (ITU) invites applications for a number
of payed PhD scholarships (http://www1.itu.dk/sw487.asp) starting in
February 2009 in any of the research groups represented at ITU
(http://www1.itu.dk/sw40627.asp).

Deadline: October 10th, 2008, at 12:00 noon (local time).

Several of the stipends will be affiliated with the FIRST Research
School (www.first.dk) which is a concerted effort of both academia and
industry to coordinate and expand a broad series of PhD-training
activities within theoretical computer science and fundamental software
technologies in the Copenhagen area.

Until August 2008, FIRST consisted of 36 PhD students and 40 supervisors
and the research school is steadily increasing in size.

A number of the vacant scholarships are within concurrency theory, in
particular in relation to the TrustCare research project (www.trustcare.eu).

The following qualifications are accepted:
1) A Master?s degree (5 years of University Studies) qualifies for a
3-year PhD program.
2) A Bachelor degree (3 years of University Studies) + one years (60
ECTS) qualifies
for the 4-year PhD program. The 60 ECTS should be transferable to one of
the Master programs at the IT University.
